white denim

apologies in advance to anyone expecting a high powered friday dance track today. this fridays a bit of a slower song, but it still has a nice buildup. the track is from austin band white denim made up of james petralli, joshua block and steve terebecki and the group is perhaps one of the most unclassifiable acts out there, just because they seem to do a little of everything. not gonna lie, havent heard their latest album yet, but their 2008 release “exposion” is a pretty excellent example of this, chock full of unusual riffs and unconventional structures.

“regina holding hands” is actually really one of their more straightforward songs, opening up with some nice guitar strumming, but builds up into the chorus and turns a little funkadelic for a bit. while i dont know which of the two vocalists sing in this song (maybe its both?), theyve definitely got some great powerful and unique voices. ok, thats all i got. enjoy.
