Ah, The Smiths. If you’re reading this website, then it’s more than a little likely that you have a soft spot in your heart for the legendary British band led by Morrissey and Johnny Marr. Though the group is no longer together, both of its key members are still making pretty big waves in the music world. Of course, Morrissey is still making new music and touring as a solo act, and Johnny Marr can be found in any one of a few huge bands that he’s a part of these days, the most noteworthy as of late being Modest Mouse and The Cribs.

Back to the matter at hand. Is it fair to say that “This Charming Man” is a favorite Smiths tune for many? Starting out with that unmistakable guitar riff (in fact, the guitar throughout is pretty fantastic), the track is just under three minutes of guaranteed get people on their feet music. I’m not entirely sure what the song is about, except that it’s got something to do with someone being confused about whether or not to tie the knot. At least I think that’s what it’s about. And even if it’s not, at least it rhymed.
