Since this week is pretty much all high energy party funk disco dance remix goodness, how about a dark macabre tune to mix things up a little? This is another track sent to me from music recommendation extraordinaire Ulia direct from LA and I am so digging it. Arms and Sleepers is an ambient duo consisting of Mirza Ramic and Max Lewis, both from various parts of New England/the Northeast. They are currently touring the states and allegedly have a pretty sick visual show which I can only imagine would compliment music like this quick fantastically.

My first impression of “The Architekt”, from their 2009 album “Matador”, after the first 10 seconds was just kind of like, whatever. This is not too bad but I don’t really love it. But then, the illest beat jumps in and the song suddenly becomes this dark as night eerie mesh of despair. And then when you listen to the lyrics, it becomes evident that it’s really a love song of sorts. A dark, desolate love song.
