Wondering where your Saturday throwback is? Well, as part of our new format (at least one song per day), I’ve decided not to limit myself to certain types of songs on certain days. So now I can mix it up all the time.

As a big fan of both Fever Ray and Brazilian DJ duo The Twelves, I’m not really sure how I missed this remix last year when it blew up all over the blogosphere. It’s especially weird since I’ve actually posted the original of this song before. But letting bygones be bygones, the good news is that I’ve finally been exposed to this fantasmical remix. Per usual, the Twelves have totally changed the mood of the song, taking something inherently dark (although this song is a bit less dark than others by Fever Ray) and turning it into something almost jubilant and funky. Can someone please start an annoying Facebook group entitled “I bet we can get 1,000,000 people that want The Twelves to play a show in Detroit”? Cuz then maybe they will. They just have to, for the sake of my well-being.
