Here’s a pretty cool track from London’s Wolf Gang as well as a pretty neato remix from LA’s Active Child. A multi-continental collaboration of epic proportions. Not really epic, I don’t like to use that word lightly, but it is pretty darned cool. And I’m having a hard time deciding whether I like the original or the remix better, which isn’t the case very often. I can’t even describe either, except that the remix is way more electronic, but still slowed down, because I love slow downed remixes. Do you ever feel like I always say the same things over and over? Because I do, all the time.
The original is pretty minimalist and has a sort of Modest Mouse meets “Sexual Healing” vibe, while the remix sounds a bit more from outerspace with really awesome synth and a nice bassline throughout. Give both a listen and let me know which you prefer. I think they are both pretty flippin awesome in their own ways. The original is offered up as a free download on Wolf Gang’s myspace page, so go there if ya like it.
I agree with you that they are both pretty sweet but I am going to have to go with the OG over the remix.
