Wow, this song that recently arrived in my inbox is pretty great in many different ways. The track is called “Living/Breathing” and its by Mesita, the music making name of James Cooley from Littleton, Colorado. I’ve always felt like I would feel right at home in Colorado, but I’ve never been. It’s weird of me. How would I describe this song? It’s just overwhelmingly happy and from the first notes, you just want to keep listening. And when the song builds up and gets so much more powerful as it progresses, you find yourself pretty happy that you kept going. The piano and the bells and the subtle jazzy overtones round out the track perfectly. And the lyrics are overwhelmingly positive too:
We are beautiful/We are worth it all/And we are living/breathing
We are beautiful/And we can change the world/And we are living/breathing
If you like what you hear, you can download this track, as well as Mesita’s 2009 EP No Worries and his 2008 album Cherry Blossoms for free on his website. Can’t beat that deal.
