We’ve been big fans of Andre Anjos’ Remix Artist Collective (RAC) for quite a time now. But for real yo, this might be our favorite remix of his to ever hit our ears. I guess it probably also has something to do with the awesomeness of Anamanaguchi itself. This fearsome foursome makes some killer tunes using lots of 8-bit sounds from some sort of hacked nintendo and gameboy. And you can definitely hear it in the tunes. There’s lots of 8-bit sounding music out there (and most of it is pretty entertaining for me at least, perhaps because it reminds me of a simpler time), but I don’t think there are many out there who combine the 8-bit greatness with real life drums, guitars and bass, and therein lies the beauty of Anamanaguchi. And when you combine Anamanaguchi with RAC, your ears will not be disappointed. Throw in an 8-bit animated gif, and I’m a little happily overwhelmed by it all. Despite the crazy large file size of the picture above, I felt it was epic enough/necessary to fully enjoy this track. Please take note of the attention to detail, namely the bouncing cans in the top left corner.
