Alan Palomo’s Neon Indian has just digitally released a deluxe edition of the 2009 album Psychic Chasms and it is deluxe fo real, coming with a 9 song bonus remix disc entitled Mind Cntrl: Psychic Chasms Possessed. But if this Anoraak Remix of the title track is any indication, there is nothing possessed about it. In fact, it seems to be right up there among the more beautiful things I’ve heard recently. The original track, which I must admit is almost a bit difficult to listen to at times, has been given a complete makeover, one that is so much smoother and more pleasing than the original. Even if you have never been a fan of Neon Indian, I still think it would greatly behoove you to give this one a listen. You just might be surprised at just how nice it is.
