I know that we just posted about UK rising Star Slinger (hows that for a little wheel of fortune before and after?), but this remix appeared in my twitter feed earlier today and I just got back to it, and it’s pretty slick. I usually just sort of scan my twitter feed periodically at work and favorite anything that looks interesting that I want to come back to later, and I knew it needed to be posted almost instantly (And by instantly, I mean several hours after I first read about it. Anyway, The Go! Team is pretty sweet, and so is Star Slinger, so how could this go wrong? It can’t, that’s how. Let’s just say hearing this makes me pretty happy that just a few days ago, it was announced that Star Slinger would be performing RIGHT HERE IN DETROIT! ON A FRIDAY! That has the potential to be at least more than not being not a great Friday night. Even if I screwed that up, it’s one of a myriad of interesting and unexpected February shows. A month that will hopefully also include Deerhoof and Rasputina — two groups that I’ve only listened to very casually, but two groups that I think will have really unique and interesting shows, and that’s what I’m all about these days.
