These are the tunes that make it worth it to trudge through your inbox looking for that one song that’s pretty awesome in 100 emails, but when you find it, you usually know within the first 5 seconds. And such was the case with “Relocate” by KAUF, LA via Florida via LA resident Ronald Kaufman. In fact, if someone were to ask me to make a mixtape that sums up this website, I can promise you that a song in this style would most certainly make the cut. It’s got the haze, the synth, and it’s a true slow jam in the purest sense of the word. Don’t know much about the musical background of KAUF but if this is in fact his first single as I think it is, I’d be all like, “Man, I wish that was my first single” and stuff like that. And while it doesn’t have that crazy ass peak like the Artwork remix of Wave Machines’ “Keep The Lights On” (aka my number 3 remix of 2010, which you can listen to here if you want to be amazed for a little over 6 minutes), it certainly has just about everything else that makes that tune so great. So, good job, KAUF.
