Hey Detroit, hopefully you’re glad you kept reading this site of ours as we’ve been trying to hit up the local population a little more as of late, because we’re happy to announce that we’ll be giving away 2 free tickets to see the fantastic Wye Oak at the Magic Stick Lounge on April 8! Yes, that’s right. The very same Wye Oak that we were stoked to see opening up for The Decemberists last month before the snow-induced rescheduling are coming to play their very own show in support of their excellent recently released album Civilian. Jenn Wasner and Andy Stack will be bringing their unique blend of in your face folk rock right here to Detroit, and we want to make sure that you’re there (and maybe we can even chat over a drink, because we will be there fo sho), so if you want to enter to win the 2 tickets, just leave a comment on this post with your favorite Wye Oak song, or just tell us about how you think Jenn Wasner is a babe (or Andy Stack, for that matter), and we’ll pick a winner at random to win the tickets. Basically, just be from Detroit (or close enough that you’ll actually use the tickets) and leave a comment on this post. Because we like to keep things simple.
