Sometimes it’s simple misunderstandings that allow awesome tunes to fall into your lap out of the blue. In this case, it was an email exchange with our friends over at Dipped in Dollars, in which I emailed the main email address asking for a certain sort of tune for a certain upcoming thing that’s happening, and when both of them replied separately, I was left with one bonus track in my inbox, and a good one it was. It’s the newest tune from Nottingham UK producer Lone aka Matt Cutler and it’s somewhat indescribable, other than that there is some major synth going on. I had never heard any works by Lone before this one and it was a welcome introduction. His sound is definitely pretty unique in my eyes. Is the UK “killing it” more than anyone else in terms of slightly out of the box producers/DJs? Well, I guess the two I’m thinking of right now are this guy and TEED, but two is a pretty good number. Check out “Animal Pattern” as well as Lone’s remix of “Kinetic” by Golden Girls.
