I’ve been somewhat enamored by Montreal via Vancouver’s Grimes aka Claire Boucher since I heard “Crystal Ball” back in April in the midst of a horrendous end of the night Coachella traffic jam. And I was lucky enough to catch her totally by accident 1.5 times during my spur of the moment CMJ trip a week or two back (which feels like 12 years ago). Here’s “Oblivion” off her latest album Visions and is a pretty bright track, considering Boucher says this album came together in the midst of a “self-imposed cloistering” in which she did not see daylight. As a bonus, she’s also pretty cute. I like Grimes.
