another day, another useless but interesting fact i learn on everyones best friend wikipedia. today, i learned that au revoir simone, the non-french synth pop group featured in today’s post, provided some background vocals for “paris” by friendly fires. surely you remember that song from a post a few weeks ago, right? i thought you would. id always sort of wondered who the female voices were in that song, and now i know. id also heard the aeroplane remix and wondered what that was all about since the verses are almost exclusively female voices, and was surprised to find out that these were actually some of the vocals on the original song. pretty neato. …read more and hear the song…
