Phonique feat. Erlend Øye – For the Time Being

Time for another one of those super hot slow jams I love so much. Even though I think this song has been around for quite some time, it’s definitely worth it to explore the sultry deep house sounds that Berlin producer Phonique has put together. And the addition of Erlend Øye on vocals never makes a song worse. This one is the perfect addition to any Friday night pre and/or post party playlist.

With all of the various projects we’ve posted that include the great Erlend Øye, is it safe to say that any project he is involved with can do no wrong?

Erlend Øye – The Black Keys Work (FM Attack Remix)

Remember at the beginning of the year when FM Attack put out one of my favoritest remixes in recent memory? Well Mr. Shawn Ward is back at it again, this time taking on none other than Erlend Øye, the man, the myth, the left sock to the full pair that is Kings of Convenience, 25% of The Whitest Boy Alive and 100% of Erlend Øye. It’s a funky and futuristic take on a killer tune. And if that’s not enough, FM Attack has just recently released his Astrowave EP, available on itunes and juno. Show this guy some love, because we here at dailybeatz love what he do. And just for fun, here’s the original version of “The Black Keys Work” as well as “Old School Daze”, a track from the great aforementioned Astrowave EP. So much goodness in one post.
