Today, I bring you another really awesome folk-inspired tune from a band I have never even heard of until about a half hour ago, Turin Breaks. I guess it can sort of be considered a precursor to what is coming tomorrow. The London duo of Olly Knights and Gale Paridjanian makes me scratch my head when I try to define it, but it makes me happy when I just listen to it. Sorry, didn’t mean for that to be so cheesy. But I think you may agree when you listen.

In “Sea Change”, the first single from their latest album “Outbursts”, I’m kind of always wondering what’s coming next. And there’s even a cool and unexpected little breakdown in the middle. Turin Brakes has definitely made its way onto my list of “albums that I am making sure to listen to before I make my top albums of the year list no matter what” so I am sort of looking forward to hearing some more from these lads. A list that grows every day, and we’re only in the middle of March. It’s going to be a long, arduous year of listening to new music. NOT!!!
